• Manouvers restrictions: berthing/unberthing during day-light only with the tide running up (high tide) and assisted by compulsory tug-boats

• For reaching Santana Port, vessels enter the Amazon Channel/North Bar Passage to Fazendinha Pilot Station anchorage about 170 nautical miles inner river where vessels anchor for Port Authorities.

• Weather condition : Rain season during January/July.

• Over aged vessels : Vessel of or more than 18 years old which will load cargo with specific gravity equal or more than 1,78 ton/cbm (ex: manganese/chrome/iron ore), are subject to DPC Compulsory Condition Survey before loading.
